further to amend the Legal Framework Order, 2002.

WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Legal Framework Order, 2002 (Chief Executive's Order No. 24 of 2002), for the purpose hereinafter appearing;

NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of the Proclamation of Emergency of the fourteenth day of October, 1999, read with the Provisional Constitution Order No. 1 of 1999, and in pursuance of the powers vested in him by and under the judgement of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, dated the 12th May, 2000, and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf, the Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is pleased to make the following Order:-

1. Short title and commencement.-(1) This Order may be called the Legal Framework (Second Amendment) Order, 2002.

(2). It shall come into force at once.

2. Amendment of the Schedule, Chief Executive's Order No. 24 of 2002.- In the Legal Framework Order, 2002 (Chief Executive's Order No. 24 of 2002), in the Schedule,-

(1) in column (1), in serial number 5 relating to Article 59, in column (3), in clause (1) , in sub-clause (b), the words "by direct and free vote" shall be omitted and shall be deemed to have always been so omitted; and

(2) in column (1), in serial number 17 relating to Part V, Chapter 3, in column (3), in the entry relating to Article 152A, in clause (3), after the word "convened" the word "regularly" shall be inserted and the words "within the time frame indicated by him" shall be omitted.
